Trip Advisor Reviews
"We have just returned from our honeymoon in the caribbean where we spent 6 days in Virgin Gorda staying at the Biras Creek Resort. Biras Creek is a fully inclusive Resort only accessible by boat and is a fantastic place to get away from it all.
We were met at the airport and transferred by boat to the resort, the boat trip is lovely in its own right and we were the only guests being met that day so we had it to ourselves! When we arrived we were met by guest services(Julia) and the manager and we were then shown around the resort. The resort has a lovely location with three aspects of the caribean sea, the atlantic ocean and Berchers bay making very beautiful. It has all the facilities you would want including fresh water pools, a beach, watersports, hiking and cycling trails and a lovely restaurant. The main element though that struck us as we were shown round is that the resort is not packed with people, it is very large but only has around 25 cottages so you are not ontop of other people and infact most of the time were not aware other people were staying in the resort with you. The cottages are in keeping with the resort and have rustic furniture and outdoor showers, also a large walk in wardrobe and fresh flowers everyday. However if you are expecting 5 star hotel marbled bathrooms etc this is not the style but we found them lovely especially as we could look out on the oceon as the waves broke feet from our balcony."
"The food is lovely with many choices at breakfast and dinner. Lunch during the week is served as a BBQ on the beach and this is also very good, you have the option of taking a picnic out. I would recommend taking a boston whaler(motor boat) out for a day with a picnic and visiting nearby beaches which are usually deserted, our favourite was the bay around from deep bay where we had lunch on the beach!
Biras is just as it promotes itself. It isn't just the "size" of the 30-room guest docket that gives Biras a feeling of exclusivity; it's also how one's treated. A good example of this are the spectacularly created evening dinners where resort guests are given priority seating and after a day or two, no one bothers asking which room you're from. There's no check to sign at the end of the meal, no tip expected (tho tips were much appreciated and well-deserved as we were departing and wishing to extend a special thank you to a few who made our stay noteworthy.) Reviewers here were right-on. Dinners at Biras far exceeded our expectations (esp. after I visited their kitchen and met the chefs. Wow! How'd they perform like that!?)"

Hi,
My fiancé and I are in the beginning process of planning our honeymoon for
March 07. We just knew we were going to Fiji, but after I found out how long
it would take us to get there from Orlando we decided that we'd rather stay a
little closer to home.
I am hoping you can help me out with the rates for March 07'. We are hoping
for a suite right on the water. Can you let me know what your
accommodations are and if you have anything that would fit our needs? We
want privacy, beach, sun and to be lazy, eat and drink all day.
Thanks :)

I would suggest Biras. Bitter End Yacht Club (BEYC) is a very active place. Lots going on there and they welcome people from all over the island (water taxi's are coming and going all the time) and anyone is able to book a trip, lesson or boat rental with them. It's very easy to get there whether you walk, get shuttled over from Biras, or buzz over in the dingy that Biras will provide you. If it were me, I would like the solitude of Biras, and the accessiblity of BEYC.
You'll love the North Sound area, but be sure and rent a car for a day or two and see the south side of the island. If it were only to get a look at the North Sound from the road as it climbs toward Gorda Peak it would be worth it, but as the road crests and you start to see the southern side of the island and the rest of the Virgin Islands in the distance, it will take your breath away. Spend an afternoon at Savannah Bay, Spring Bay or Devils Bay and you'll go home feeling that your stay on VG was much more complete.
